He Marvin Gayed his own nephew!

So if you haven't heard what happened to Tony Soprano and plan on catching up via DVD, I suggest you move along... Uncle June 'Marvin Gayed' him (quote from fat Vito,) in an Alzheimer's induced paranoia spell. Doctors suggest to Carmelo that she play some of his favorite music in his room, so she pops in some Deep Purple and Tom Petty (faves from season 2's soundtrack) to get him going.

Meanwhile, while Tony's fighting for his life, he's going all Jacob's Ladder (or An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge) in his mind, creating his own new identity as a salesman visiting Costa Mesa for a conference. I think Costa Mesa makes a great coma destination, don't you?

Taking a rather dark turn, the episode soundtrack ends with Moby's "When It's Cold I'd Like To Die." But we know, with 18 episodes left (10 left in this season proper, followed by 8 extra coming in the fall,) that Tony has to pull through... right? It's far to early for him to go all Nate on us... right?

Either way, this is shaping up to be the best Sopranos season ever.
