Make no mistake, not only did Prince rock the Super Bowl better then any past half-time performer, he did it beating some serious obstacles. Obvious to everyone watching was the hinderance of playing in the pouring rain... that's a lot of electricity out there folks. But what most people don't know is that Prince needs hip replacement surgery. You could barely tell, except for the absence of James Brown-like dance interludes. But wait a minute... if he needs hip replacement surgery that means he's getting old... which means I'm getting old. Damn you sands of time!
What else? Oh yeah, the Florida A&M marching band, while too low in the mix at times, was an incredible addition to the songs. You sometimes forgot they were there, which means they weren't a distraction to the songs. Speaking of songs, the choice of covers was quite interesting... specifically the soulful rendition of the Foo Fighter's "Best of You." Prince might want to consider releasing it as a single, as his version easily one-ups the original.

Why was Prince wearing teal and orange instead of his usual purple? Miami Dolphin's colors, perhaps?.
