Since we're done now with the original mapped out storyline for this season in Volkoff, consider this as a kind of a breather episode before they launch into whatever's next. It serves as a chance to shade in some of the characters we know less about, like Alex and, especially, General Beckman. The back story between her and John Laroquette's Roan Montgomery (backed by the appropriately cheesey Scorpions' Cold War ending saga "Wind of Change") was obviously the highlight here.
Besides the Scorpions, multiple seduction scenes were backed by the classic soul sounds of Charles Wright and The Watts 103rd St Rhythm Band's "65 Bars & a Taste of Soul," qualifying as the longest combo of title and artist (not easy to tweet, that's for sure).
