There seems to be some buyer's remorse out there... Bush is slated to become to have the lowest approval ratings of any President at Inauguration Day, at below 50%.
"It's striking how weak he is right now," says presidential historian Richard Shenkman, editor of George Mason University's History News Network. "You'd have to go back to Woodrow Wilson to find a president who was reelected in a position as weak as this one. There's been no euphoria around Bush's win."
Meanwhile, for the first time, a majority of Americans polled believe that the iraq war was a mistake.
And that poll was taken before today's awful news in iraq.
