The New York Times is reporting that the House Republicans are backing down from their 'Delay Rule'. Their ridiculous over reach of power seems to have backfired and the pressure from constituents, ethics committee and a possible house vote has made them back pedal.
"It allows the Republicans to focus on the issues, the agenda that is before us and not to have Tom DeLay be the issue," Representative Zach Wamp, Republican of Tennessee, said. "I feel like we have just taken a shower."
