Over at Stereogum, they're revisiting just how unintentionally funny (and creepy) the video for the song was. Lionel Richie as the teacher stalking his blind student, who makes a clay bust of him that looks like Patrick Ewing (she's blind!)
Meanwhile, the folks at Chiat Day created a television commercial for Starburst that riffs on Richie's video with a lovestruck student who makes a bust of his love interest (played by cute Jennifer Hall of HBO's Unscripted) completely out of Starburst fruit chews.
Hilarity ensues when the student starts to eat said bust. Creepy. Hilarious. One can only hope they bought time in the Superbowl for it, so more people can be creeped out and laugh at it's chewie goodness.
