Is it just me, or does the casting of Brooke Shields as a psychiatrist seem like a bit of a jab at Tom Cruise? And while medication has yet to be doled out, let's just say Christian is getting the kind of treatment from her that Tony Soprano has been dreaming about w/ Dr. Melfi for 6 seasons.
Nip/Tuck is back for it's fourth season, and the music groove is back as well, with a foot firmly planted in the 70's. Classics "Boogie Oogie," Hot Chocolate's "You Sexy Thing" and Al Green's "Tired of Being Alone" all are heavily scented with the decade, which, I guess, is a nod to 'free love,' as Nip/Tuck is wanton to purvey. Meanwhile Gotan Project continue to provide more tasty instrumental backing, like they did last season
Back to the sex, hearing John Paul Young's fairly innocent "Love is in the Air" to a three-way involving a mother-daughter team is just the sort of perverse juxtoposition that I've been looking for from the series. And while were on the perverse, how much plastic surgery do you think Tracy Scoggins (who plays the mother) has had over the years?More:
