Speaking in Lost tongues

If you paid close attention to the opening of Lost's season 3 premiere last night, you might have noticed an odd musical discrepancy - and possibly a couple clues.

New character Julia (Elizabeth Mitchell) looks through some CD's before picking the jewel case for Talking Heads' Speaking in Tongues (Stereogum.) She opens the case and inside is actually a dualdisc CD/DVD with the serial of "JN 94743" which corresponds with the Son Volt album Okemah and the Melody of Riot. But when she puts this CD on, it plays Petula Clark's classic "Downtown." (Lostpedia)

If there's anything we know about Lost, it's that there's incredible attention to detail, and I have to wonder if this means anything. Speaking in Tongues surely begs all sorts of possibilities, while 'Okemah' (in Oklahoma) is famous for being the birth place of Woody Guthrie.

Where am I going with this? I have no idea.... but not knowing is one of the best things about the Lost experience? Of course, it could all be just a couple prop mistakes (blasphemy!)

Song: Petula Clark - "Downtown"
Album: Talking Heads - Speaking in Tongues
Album: Son Volt - Okemah And The Melody Of Riot

I thought I was being really clever when I spotted the Talking Heads case, and came rushing to the Internet to spread my "unique" knowledge!

Looks like you've gone one better by finding out which album the actual CD relates to! I wonder if this is a clue of some sort, or just a joke by the producers to see if we would spot it?
