It's the first week of baseball, and I'd be remiss to not have at least one related post.
Our nation's team, the surprising 3-1 Washington Nationals, voted on some of the music to be played in the new stadium unveiled this year, and for home runs, DC Go-Go legend Chuck Brown won the vote with his near hit "Bustin' Loose."
Brown played at the Nationals very first opening day (playing both "Bustin' Loose" and "Take Me Out to the Ball Game," so while he's still mostly obscure to the rest of the country, the DC folks know what they like.
Regular readers of this site may remember when author Dallas Hudgens guest blogged (nearly three years ago!) writing a great piece about Chuck Brown (winning a NEA grant,) and I'll just refer you to that definitive post on Mr Brown, and wish you all a fine weekend.
