Supersizing this episode of Glee was as needed as a nose job on Rachel/Leah Michele. The reason for it seems to be to play spoiler to NBC's launch of The Voice, a trick ironically learned from NBC's Thursday night circa the late 90s.
Aside from the obvious filler stretching out the time of the episode, "Born This Way" was a much better episode than we've had in awhile. And it seems they're able to hit their stride when they go to the 'insecurities' well, which for High School plot lines, is a plentiful well. Musically, the highlight had to be the Warbler-led rendition of Keane's "Somewhere Only We Know" (but I must admit a weakness for Duck Sauce's "Barbara Streisand").
