Steve Earle is on Letterman Friday, April 29

Fitting that the week that Treme comes back on the small screen, Steve Earle is back as well. His run on the first season wasn't long or very high profile, but it was immensely helpful tying things together and game him the opportunity to act with his son, Justin Townes Earle. The elder Earle returns to Letterman on Friday.

Elsewhere, it's a great week for fans of good country music, as besides Earle there's Alison Krauss (Monday on Leno, Wednesday on Ellen) and the legendary Emmylou Harris (Wednesday on Letterman) in the mix.
