Robbers On High Street reminds me a lot of Spoon. Normally soundalike comparison's are a put-down, but in the case of Spoon, you gotta give props to the Robbers. Spoon's first album (the excellent Telephono) got a lot of Pixies comparisons, so the cycle continues.
Their debut album Tree City is already being hailed as "the first great rock 'n' roll album of 2005." Street date is February 22nd.
