Bumbershoot, Day 4

Play it: Bumbershoot 2005 - Monday (Updated from July 21st post)

The 35th annual Bumbershoot will feature four days of more than 2,500 artists on over 20 stages and venues. Monday features another couple super subs. In place of General Public and Devo, Bumbershoot managed to get Mudhoney and a reformed Iggy and the Stooges. And stepping in to play bass for the Stooges is none other then Mike Watt (Minutemen, fIREHOSE.) Other acts featured include The Decemberists, Dashboard Confessional, Ted Leo + Pharmacists, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Okkervil River, Tegan & Sara and Meredith Monk.

My picks (which will probably fly in the face of what I end up seeing.)
The Decemberists (12:30-1:45PM, The Mainstage) We'll probably not get there in time for this.
Charming Snakes (1:45-2:45PM, EMP Sky Church)
Los Amigos Invisibles (3-4:15PM, Best Buy Bumbrella Stage)
Earlimart (4:30-5:30PM, Exhibition Hall)
Okkervil River (6:45-8:00PM, Broad St. Lawn Stage)
Mudhoney (8-9PM, Memorial Stadium/Mainstage)
Iggy and The Stooges (9:30-11:00, Memorial Stadium/Mainstage)

Here's what will probably happen though... Los Amigos Invisibles, Earlimart (may have to skip for food break,) Okkervil River followed by Tegan & Sara before taking the lil' munchken to beddie bye.

It most definitely was! Even with a 6-month old, much fun was had.

Hi ho. I just had to check in and report that my recent Asha Bhosle post, coupled with your very edutaining Cornershop comment led to more songs getting stuck in my head than the rest of the summer posts combined!

For the last couple weeks I've had to fight the urge to reply to every question someone asks me by exclaiming "Forty-Five!!!"

Not that I'm complaining, mind you...
