Play it: Nip/Tuck Season 1
Play it: "Ride The Pain" - Juliet (Nip/Tuck Episode 3.04)
I knew at some point, the soundtrack for a Nip/Tuck episode would let me down (this week's has only the one song digitally available.) So I've kept a couple related playlists in my backpocket. The soundtrack to Season one's 13 episodes helped create the mood of the series, with plenty of sleek dance-oriented music mixed w/ classic rock. From Kinky's powerful "Mas" (used in promos) to the Commodores classic "Machine Gun," the soundtrack is a fine eclectic mix to have some liposuction to.
When we last left the Drs. plastique, Sean had socked his son in the nose, which this week finds him served with a restraining order from Matt. If that isn't bad enough, CPS is ordering him not to see his daughter anymore either, unless he goes to anger management... or Matt decides to drop his court order.
Two patients this week, one's about Christian and one's about Sean. Christian's patient is faking like she's a victim of the Carver, but Christian sees through it, and it swells up some more unresolved Carver issues with him. Sean's patient is an Alzheimer's widow, who wants to rewind her age so her lost husband will recognize her. An impossible task that Sean only tries to do when he relates it to his own need for his son to recognize him again. Both get part of what they want, minor recognition, but the elusive relationship they both need is nowhere to be found. The episode ends with the docs taking the opposite extremes to deal with their pain...Christian testing anaesthesia to stop feeling, Sean cutting on himself to feel a different pain to mask the current one.
Speaking of cutting and masks, the Carver comes back finally, this time to pay a visit on the faker, post-op. As they say, be careful what you wish for.

I really liked this episode and can't wait until next week! I think The Carver is the new partner, but hope it isn't because that would be too obvious!
That's what I thought as well, until last week's episode (when they fully revealed a different secret.) I've been back and forth all along... now I'm thinking it is him after this week.
