For an episode that was originally supposed to be a Chuck season finale, "Chuck vs the Other Guy" felt a bit lackluster, and that was all due to the unfortunate and clunky character Shaw, whose storyline has been a drag on this season's smarts. And since much of this episode is reliant upon that storyline, the build up of Chuck and Sarah finally professing their love to each other was dampened quite a bit.
Musically, though, there was a couple interesting choices, particularly Montreal's Plants & Animals' "Bye Bye Bye" playing while Chuck and Sarah were making sucking noises with their faces. And The Antlers' "Kettering" provided just the right amount of paranoia for the scenes with Shaw. Yes, Pretty In Pink was referenced as well, with OMD's "If You Leave," the writers working in their obligatory John Hughes tribute.

I like the show a lot, Chuck is so funny when he has to, and so violent when he has to, this was one of my favorite episodes.
