I hope that the song "Friday" is not going to be a staple at high school proms occurring this month. Can you imagine looking back at your prom and remembering that tripe? I had thankfully avoided the song the first time it made the rounds via YouTube sharing, but was forced here to take in the middle school poetry. Worst. Lyrics. Ever.
That it was sandwiched in between two great renditions ("Isn't She Lovely" and "I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance") only made it harder to take.
